How to schedule LinkedIn posts, natively or with an app

Updated

LinkedIn has its own scheduler now, and for one post at a time it is all most people need. Write the post, tap the clock icon, pick a time. The steps are slightly different for your personal profile and for a company Page, and a few post types can't be scheduled at all. This guide covers both, following LinkedIn's own help pages as checked in October 2026, and then the case where you want posts made and published on a LinkedIn Page without writing each one.

Schedule a post on your personal profile

On a computer, LinkedIn's help center gives these steps. The mobile app uses the same clock icon.

  1. 01Click Start a post at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. 02Write the post in the What do you want to talk about? box and add any image or document.
  3. 03Click the clock icon in the lower-right corner.
  4. 04Pick a date and time. LinkedIn accepts anything from 10 minutes to 3 months ahead, and you can type an exact time instead of using the 30-minute options.
  5. 05Click Next, then Schedule. The scheduled time shows above the post.

Schedule a post on a LinkedIn company Page

You need to be a super admin or content admin of the Page. Page posts can be scheduled from one hour to three months ahead.

  1. 01Open your Page's admin view.
  2. 02Click Page posts in the left menu, then Start a post.
  3. 03Click the schedule icon in the lower right of the post window.
  4. 04Choose the date and time, which is based on your location, and click Next.
  5. 05Finish the post and click Schedule.

What LinkedIn won't schedule

LinkedIn's help pages list a few exceptions. If you add one of these, you get an error and have to post right away instead.

When the hard part is the post, not the time

A scheduler saves you from remembering to post. It doesn't write anything. For a business Page, the gap in the calendar usually comes from nobody having time to make the posts.

Vidpop is an iPhone app that makes them. It learns your business from your website, your App Store page, or six short questions and a few photos. Autopilot then plans three carousels a week, designs each with 5 to 7 slides and writes the caption. Post for Me publishes them at the scheduled time, and Create with AI makes a one-off caption, image post or carousel from a short description.

Be clear on one thing before you set it up: Vidpop posts to a LinkedIn company Page you manage. It does not post to your personal profile. If you want to schedule posts as yourself, use LinkedIn's own scheduler above.

The same posts can go to Instagram and Facebook too. Turn on "Ask me first" and nothing goes out until you approve it.

Auto-post to a LinkedIn Page with Vidpop

  1. 01Install Vidpop on your iPhone (iOS 17 or later) and start the Starter plan's 3-day free trial.
  2. 02Set up your business with your website, App Store link or the six questions.
  3. 03In Post for Me, connect LinkedIn and choose the company Page you manage. You sign in through LinkedIn; Vidpop never sees your password.
  4. 04Turn on "Ask me first" for your first week. Your first week waits for your approval anyway.
  5. 05Review each carousel, edit captions, and approve. Vidpop posts at the scheduled time.
  6. 06Use Create with AI when you need an extra post, and post it now or schedule it.
