Capability
AI carousel makers that write and design the whole carousel from a topic
Updated
An AI carousel maker turns a topic into a finished carousel: it writes each slide, designs it and, in the better tools, writes the caption and posts it. Vidpop does that for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn company Pages, and can pick the topic too. Tools like Contentdrips, PostNitro and aiCarousels are built around LinkedIn, where a carousel is a PDF you upload. This page compares five AI carousel generators on one question: how much of the carousel do you get from a single topic, and where can it go?
The short answer
- 1. Vidpop. Picks the topic from your business or takes yours, writes and designs 5 to 7 slides at 1080x1350, writes the caption and posts to Instagram, Facebook and a LinkedIn company Page. iPhone app.
- 2. PostNitro. Makes a carousel from a topic, a blog link, your own text or an X thread. Exports PNG, PDF or MP4. Scheduling to LinkedIn, Instagram and four more networks starts on Creator+ at $30 a month.
- 3. Contentdrips. Turns a topic, blog or video into a carousel from a template. Free plan with 50 AI credits; an AI carousel costs 10. Starter publishes to LinkedIn; Pro adds Instagram and TikTok.
- 4. aiCarousels. Free to use with no sign-up. Writes a carousel from a topic or your own content for LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. Paid PRO price not published on the pages we checked.
- 5. Predis.ai. Generates carousels from a prompt and turns blog posts into carousels, with scheduling on all plans. Each slide costs 15 credits.
LinkedIn carousels and Instagram carousels are not the same file
Both are a set of slides people swipe through. They are posted in different ways, and that changes which tool fits.
On LinkedIn, most carousels are a PDF uploaded as a document post. Each page of the PDF becomes a slide. Tools made for LinkedIn creators, like PostNitro, export one PDF so you can upload it to your personal profile.
On Instagram, a carousel is a set of separate images, up to 20 according to Instagram's help center. The tall 1080x1350 size takes the most space in the feed.
A tool that posts for you handles the file for you. Vidpop sends the same carousel to Instagram, Facebook and your LinkedIn company Page. If you want carousels on your personal LinkedIn profile, use a PDF tool and upload the file yourself.

How Vidpop makes a carousel from a topic
Vidpop learns your business first, from your website, your App Store page, or six short questions and a few photos. That is why it can pick topics on its own.
Autopilot makes three carousels a week without being asked. It rotates between eight formats, including tips, myth vs fact, steps, FAQ and before-and-after, so your feed doesn't repeat itself. Create with AI makes one carousel when you have a topic in mind: describe it, choose Carousel, and you get the slides and the caption. Starter and Pro include 5 Create with AI posts a week.
Post for Me publishes the carousel to Instagram, your Facebook Page and your LinkedIn company Page, right away or on a schedule. With "Ask me first" on, nothing goes out until you approve it.
The limits are real. Vidpop is iPhone only, with no web or Android app. Carousels are written in English for now. LinkedIn posts go to a company Page, not a personal profile. TikTok takes video, so carousels don't go there.
The other four
PostNitro is the strongest pick for LinkedIn creators who post from a personal profile. It writes and designs carousels from a topic or a blog link, and exports PNG, PDF or MP4. The free plan allows AI carousels of up to 5 slides and 5 downloads a month, with a watermark and no scheduling. Starter is $15 a month; scheduling to LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook and Pinterest starts on Creator+ at $30 a month.
Contentdrips fills templates with AI-written slides from a topic, blog or video, and has a Bulk Post Planner for two weeks at a time. Its pricing page lists a free plan with 50 AI credits, Starter at $15 a month with LinkedIn publishing, and Pro at $26 a month with LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. An AI carousel costs 10 credits.
aiCarousels works free with no sign-up. You choose a topic or paste your own content, and it writes the carousel for LinkedIn, Instagram or TikTok. It also lists a website-to-carousel tool. Its site mentions a PRO plan but we could not find a published price.
Predis.ai generates carousels from a prompt and has a Blog to Carousel Maker. Credits set the limit: Core has 1,300 a month and each slide costs 15, so a 7-slide carousel uses 105. More on the Instagram carousel makers page.
How to choose an AI carousel maker
- 01Decide where the carousel goes. A personal LinkedIn profile needs a PDF. Instagram and LinkedIn company Pages can be posted to by a tool.
- 02Decide who picks the topic. If you always have one, a topic-to-carousel tool is enough. If you don't, pick one that plans for you, like Vidpop's Autopilot.
- 03Check the slide limit and the watermark on the free plan before you build a habit around it.
- 04Count the real cost. On credit tools, multiply the cost per slide or per carousel by how many you post a month.
- 05Check where you work. Vidpop is an iPhone app; PostNitro, Contentdrips and aiCarousels run in a browser.
- 06Make three carousels in your first week and post them. The tool you finish with is the right one.
Frequently asked questions
- What is an AI carousel maker?
- A tool that writes and designs a multi-slide social post from a topic. The better ones also write the caption and post it. Vidpop does all of this for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn company Pages.
- Can AI make a carousel from just a topic?
- Yes. In Vidpop, open Create with AI, describe the topic and choose Carousel to get a designed carousel and a caption. Autopilot can also pick the topics for you and make three carousels a week, each with 5 to 7 slides at 1080x1350.
- Can Vidpop post carousels to my personal LinkedIn profile?
- No. Vidpop posts to a LinkedIn company Page you manage. For a personal profile, use a tool that exports a PDF and upload it in LinkedIn. See our guide on how to schedule LinkedIn posts.
- Is there a free AI carousel generator?
- Yes. aiCarousels works free with no sign-up, PostNitro has a free plan with up to 5 slides and a watermark, and Contentdrips has a free plan with 50 AI credits. Vidpop is paid, with a 3-day free trial on Starter.
- Is a LinkedIn carousel different from an Instagram carousel?
- Yes. On Instagram a carousel is a set of separate images. On a LinkedIn personal profile, most people upload a PDF document and each page shows as a slide. Vidpop posts its carousels to Instagram, Facebook and a LinkedIn company Page.
- Does Vidpop make carousels in other languages?
- Not yet. Carousels and captions are written in English for now. Arabic is available for UGC video ads on the Pro plan.
