Feature
See the whole week, and decide how much to check
Updated
Handing your social media to an app only works if you can see what it is about to post. The Vidpop calendar shows every post for the week with its day, its networks and its caption. You choose how involved to be: approve each post, or let the week run and step in only when you want to.
What the calendar shows
- Every post for the week, on the day it will go out.
- The full post. Open it to swipe through the slides and read the caption.
- Where it is going. Which of your connected accounts will get it.
- What happened. Waiting for approval, scheduled, live, or not sent.
- How it did. Views, likes, comments and shares on posts that are live. See post stats.
Two ways to run it
| Ask me first: on | Ask me first: off | |
|---|---|---|
| What happens | Nothing goes out until you approve it | Posts go out at their scheduled time |
| Good for | The first few weeks, or a business that needs every word checked | Once you trust what it makes |
| Your time | A couple of minutes a week | None, unless you want to change something |
Changing a post
You can change any post until 15 minutes before it is due.
Edit the caption in your own words. Re-make the post if the picture or the angle is wrong, and go back to the earlier version if you liked that one more. If one post did well, ask for more like it.
Steering next week
Before each new week is made, Vidpop sends a notification that says next week is being planned. That is your chance to add a note: an offer, an event, a topic to skip. You can also keep or pass on the post ideas it suggests.
Notifications you get
- Your week is ready to look over.
- A post is live.
- A post did not go out, and why.
- Next week is being planned.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I approve posts before they go out?
- Yes. Turn on "Ask me first" and every post waits for your approval. Your first week waits for approval whatever the setting.
- How late can I change a post?
- Until 15 minutes before it is due to go out.
- What if I do not like a post?
- Re-make it, edit the caption, or go back to the earlier version. Re-making a picture uses one of your five extra AI posts for the week.
- Which days does Autopilot post?
- Three days a week. The calendar shows the day and time for each post before it goes out.
- Can I tell it what to post about next week?
- Yes. Add a note before the week is made, for example a sale or an event, and Vidpop plans around it.
- Will I know when something goes wrong?
- Yes. If a post does not go out, you get a notification and the calendar shows which account had the problem.
- Is the calendar on both plans?
- Yes. The calendar, approval mode, re-makes and caption edits are on Starter and Pro. See pricing.
