Auto-posting to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok: the tools that do it
Updated
Posting to three networks by hand means opening three apps, uploading the same thing three times and remembering to do it on the right day. Auto-posting tools fix that: you connect your accounts once and they publish on schedule. The difference between them is what you still have to bring. Most schedulers post what you give them. A few also make the post. This page compares five, ranked by how little you need to do for a post to appear on all three networks.
The short answer
- 1. Vidpop. Makes the posts and publishes them. Autopilot plans and designs three carousels a week, writes the captions and posts them to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. TikTok takes video, which Vidpop can post too. iPhone app.
- 2. Predis.ai. Makes images, carousels and videos from a prompt and schedules them to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and more. Auto Posting, where it drafts posts daily for you to review, starts on the Rise plan.
- 3. Later. Auto-publishes to Instagram Business or Creator accounts, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest and LinkedIn. You bring the media.
- 4. Buffer. Schedules to 12 networks including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, with a free plan for three channels. You bring the media.
- 5. Meta Business Suite. Meta's free tool for scheduling posts, stories and reels to Facebook and Instagram. It covers Meta's own apps, so TikTok is not part of it.
Before you connect anything
Every auto-posting tool connects through the networks' official sign-in, and the networks have rules about which accounts can be posted to. These rules apply to Vidpop and to most schedulers.
If your Instagram is a personal account, switch it first. It takes a few taps and you can switch back later. Our guide to switching to an Instagram business account walks through the current steps.
- Instagram: needs a Business or Creator account. Later's own pricing page says the same: it auto-publishes to Instagram business profiles or creator accounts.
- Facebook: needs a Page. A personal profile is not enough.
- LinkedIn: Vidpop posts to a company Page you manage, not to a personal profile.
- TikTok: takes video posts. In Vidpop, carousels go to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, and video goes to TikTok.

How Vidpop posts for you
Vidpop's publishing feature is called Post for Me. You connect Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok through a secure sign-in, and Vidpop never sees your password. After that, posts go out right away or at a scheduled time.
What makes it different from a scheduler is where the posts come from. Autopilot learns your business from your website, your App Store page or six short questions, then plans three carousels a week. Each has 5 to 7 slides at 1080x1350 and a caption. Create with AI makes a single caption, image post or carousel from a short description. On the Pro plan, a weekly UGC video ad with an AI presenter gives you something to post on TikTok too.
You choose how much control to keep. With "Ask me first" on, nothing is published until you approve it. With it off, Autopilot posts at the scheduled time. You can still edit a post up to 15 minutes before it goes out, and your first week always waits for your approval.
The other four
Predis.ai is the closest to Vidpop, because it also makes the content. Its plan comparison lists Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, YouTube Shorts and X among its channels. Core connects 10 social accounts, Rise 20. Auto Posting is on Rise and Enterprise+, where it drafts up to two or three posts a day per brand for review.
Later is a scheduler with a drag-and-drop visual planner. Starter covers one social set of 8 profiles and 30 posts per profile a month. Buffer charges per channel, $5 a month each on Essentials, and its free plan allows 10 scheduled posts per channel on up to three channels.
Meta Business Suite is free and made by Meta. Its help center says it lets you schedule, publish and manage posts, stories and reels across Facebook and Instagram, on desktop and mobile. For TikTok you need a different tool.
Set up auto-posting in Vidpop
- 01Make sure your Instagram is a Business or Creator account and you have a Facebook Page.
- 02Install Vidpop on an iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
- 03Tell Vidpop about your business: website, App Store link, or six short questions.
- 04Open Post for Me and connect Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok. Each one uses the network's own sign-in.
- 05Choose "Ask me first" if you want to approve posts, or leave it off to let Autopilot post on its own.
- 06Check the week's plan, edit anything you want, and let it run.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I auto-post the same carousel to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok?
- To Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, yes. TikTok takes video posts, so Vidpop sends carousels to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn and uses TikTok for video, such as the UGC video ads on the Pro plan.
- Why do I need an Instagram Business or Creator account?
- Instagram only allows outside tools to publish to professional accounts. Vidpop needs a Business or Creator account, and Later's pricing page says its auto-publishing works the same way. Switching takes a few taps in the Instagram app and you can switch back.
- Does Vidpop see my social media passwords?
- No. You connect each account through a secure sign-in with the network itself, and Vidpop never sees your password.
- Can I check posts before they are published?
- Yes. Turn on "Ask me first" and nothing goes out until you approve it. You can edit or re-make a post up to 15 minutes before it goes out, and your first week always waits for your approval.
- Is there a free way to auto-post?
- Meta Business Suite is free for Facebook and Instagram, and Buffer has a free plan for three channels. Both post content you make yourself. Vidpop makes the posts too, and its Starter plan has a 3-day free trial.
- Can I post right away instead of on a schedule?
- Yes. Post for Me publishes right away or on a schedule, so you can send a post you just made with Create with AI immediately.
